From Niigata-pref. Came to Tokyo after studying at Doreme Dressmaking Academy.
Having practiced under the training of Mr. Eiji Akaiwa, who is formerly designer of the order made department of Isetan, the major department store in Japan, she became independent in 1978. Ever after she mainly designs for stage costume and haute couture.
